Policy on Strategic Shareholdings

With respect to the classification of investment shares held for purposes other than pure investment, the Company classifies investments that are held for the purpose of receiving profit from changes in the value of the shares or dividends on the shares as pure investment, and other investments as investment shares held for purposes other than pure investment. In principle, the Company's policy is not to hold stocks for pure investment purposes.

Investment shares whose purpose of holding is other than pure investment are held from a medium- to long-term perspective, as they are deemed to contribute to increasing the Company's corporate value through maintaining and strengthening business relationships and facilitating transactions with cooperating companies. The appropriateness of holding these assets is determined based on periodic and comprehensive consideration of factors such as reconfirmation of the significance of the holding, the status of transactions, and the convenience associated with the holding. The Company does not hold any listed shares as policy holdings.
